These shots are from a performance in Jackson, Mississippi in Bart's Studio in the Millsaps Avenue arts district. An audience member volunteered to have his portrait painted during the session. The photos show Bart painting with Chris Parker on piano, Chad Anderson on drums and Henry P. Warner on alto saxophone.
The three images below were from a workshop and performance at Jones County Community College in 1997. Bart worked with students in JCC's Art Department to create a 15 foot tall by 30 foot wide improvised painting that was a backdrop for a performance by Kidd Jordan and Alvin Fielder.
